Mr. Bechtel II is an associate of Gessner, Snee, Mahoney & Lutche, P.A. After graduating from law school, he served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Emory A. Plitt, Jr. in the Circuit Court for Harford County.

Mr. Bechtel represents clients on a number of land use and zoning matters in Harford, Cecil and Baltimore Counties. In addition, Mr. Bechtel represents clients in a variety of civil litigation and corporate matters.

Mr. Bechtel’s experience includes securing map and text amendments to zoning regulations before county and municipality planning commissions; obtaining variance and special exception relief for property owners; advising developers and property owners on the interpretation and application of development regulations and subdivision approval process in various jurisdictions; and negotiating lot purchase agreements, membership interest purchase agreements and public works agreements.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the Builders Haven Foundation, the charitable arm of the Homebuilders Association of Maryland, and is the Chairman of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Harford County Bar Association. Mr. Bechtel is admitted to practice law before the Court of Appeals of Maryland and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

Mr. Bechtel resides in Havre de Grace with his wife Gina, a Harford County Public School teacher
